Yes, you know the internet and your computer offers many ways to entertain you. You can watch an endless supply of videos from music videos to animals doing an array of funny acts. You can watch clips of your favorite television shows and movies. You can even watch full length versions of your favorite episodes of your favorite television shows and movies. Soon one of the best soap operas of all time will even be making its debut onto a new online format. But did you realize that you can learn online and you can do it on your pace, for free?

Imagine learning how to speak Spanish just for the fun of it. Imagine learning how to do the complicated math your kids are learning in school and mastering it, while they are groaning about hard it is. Imagine listening to some of the best lecturers in the best schools while you work out or while you fold laundry. Imagine doing all of this to improve your mind for free.

Yes, the internet will allow you to do this and more. There are many courses offer online for free. There are many lectures that you can listen to for free. You can even follow an entire course for free. Plus, you can do all of this on your own time. You can even do this without really worrying about the grades, the finals and the papers, since you are really doing this to enrich your mind; not to get a degree.

Where can you go to audit and enjoy these types of courses and more? You can go to such sites as:

  • · AcademicEarth.org: This site offers a catalog of many courses that Universities across the globe offers internet users. All you have to do is follow the links to the courses and schools that sounds interesting.
  • · Itunes U: Yes, there are many universities and schools that offers courses through Itunes. But you must have the itunes software installed onto your computer or mp3 player before you can link to them.
  • · LiveMocha.com: This site offers its users the chance to study one of 35 languages through fun lessons.

Does any of these sites sounds interesting to you? Does the sound of learning sound interesting to you? If does log on now and see what course may excite you.
