I have two friends that told me about their experience in Iraq. One is a contractor and the other a sergeant in the Army reserves. The contractor friend (who is still there in Iraq) told me that they remain in a closed off section of Iraq and his day consists of getting up to work at 5:30AM and Finishing work at 5:30PM. They eat their meals go to sleep and start the day all over again. That is not much of a life. There is no real entertainment there and no alcohol is served there.
My Army reserves friend stated pretty much the same, but he had called on some instances where he had seen a group of Iraqi men and he had to inspect the truck. He had seen a young boy in the back of the truck performing sodomy on the older man. He stated that he was taken aback from the site of this. He sated that this is normal in the Iraqi culture. The women are used basically for breading, child rearing and keeping the home. This was just plain disgusting to me. How could a country allow something like this to happen?
Sadam and his boys were bad people true enough, but I still say we need to bring our young men and women home. NO more American Blood should be shed there. I truly feel that this war will soon end after the current administration leaves the white house. It is sad to say, but it is true. This administration has a great deal invested in this war and is not willing to let go of the golden calf. This is my take on the Iraq war POINT BLANK.
