Wearing green; trying not to swallow that nasty, green beer; and continuing to support the environment by "going green."
Even though I'm not quite into that silly, little leprechaun and his pots of stolen gold.
I am honored to oblige and try to save our planet and its dying soul.
Instead of partying at bars, getting drunk, and leaving a paper trail mess.
I want to salute America and clean up our land by taking away all the distress.
I have yet to find that mysterious four-leaf clover, dubbed as a good luck charm.
But, when and if I do, I will to treat my environment with respect and do no further harm.
Come to think of it, if this is a holiday, why can't I get the day off?
And, if my co-workers do coax me into celebrating, who will clean up, when all I do is barf?
Well, one thing is certain, if I want something creepy to watch.
I will surely find something mystical and farfetched on cable television on the 17th of March.

Post a CommentYeah, green beer is scary - I agree. I am not as crazy about St. Paddy's Day as everyone else is, which is weird because I'm part Irish. Now that I'm a parent, I don't go out of my way anymore to find excuses to get drunk ... maybe that's it :)
Very good poem. I'll pass on the green beer too! ;-)
Interesting :) Sheri
I never have had green beer. Good message here!
nice message.
LOL! So cute, well done! :)
You don't want green beer?
My husband is 1/4 Irsh and I pretend I'm whatever holiday it happens to be!
St. Patrick's Day is my favorite holiday, we don't celebrate it by getting drunk though, we make cornbeef brisket with cabbage, new potatoes, baby carrots and celery, then I make a green cake (this takes a lot of food coloring by the way) and we remember who St. Patrick was.
But you see for me it is more than just a date on the calendar because I am a Irish it is a very good day. It is our families favorite holiday.
lol...awesome!!
