The Irish Tea Bomb

Recipe for an Alcoholic Drink

Michael Billy
What you will need:

Tea bags and water
Sugar
Bailey's Irish Cream
Whiskey

First, you need to brew some of your favorite brand of tea. For this recipe I prefer to use a good Earl Grey, but any black tea will do just find. I've never tried it with green or white teas, but if you are in the mood to be creative and different it might be worth it. If you're too lazy to brew the tea yourself, you could always use a store bought bottled tea like Arizona.

Once the tea has finished brewing let it cool for a while. Stick it in the refrigerator or freezer to drop the temperature quicker. While the tea is cooling fill a pint glass ¾ of the way full with ice and pour a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream over top.

Once the tea has cooled enough pour it into the glass over the Bailey's and top it off with a half of a shot of the Whiskey. Add two teaspoons of sugar (you can always do less or more to your taste) and stir.

Now all you need is somewhere outdoors to lounge and enjoy this delicious beverage, preferably on a breezy summer day.

  • This recipe is short and simple, but delicious nonetheless.
The English and Irish have been feuding for centuries, but this drink shows what can happen when the two cultures are brought together.
