The Israeli War Against Hamas

A Look at Why I Support the Israeli War Against Hamas

Mike Perry
Introduction to The Israeli War

Several Israeli Wars have been fought in the past. Israel has had to defend herself many times against terrorists trying to bully them and take their land. The Israeli War against Hamas comes as know surprise to me given the track record of terrorists in general. You should read the book of Genesis if you want to understand the Israeli War.

Why I Support the Israeli War

The main reason why I support the Israeli War is because Israel has the right to defend her country no matter what. Not only do they have the right to defend but God gave that land to Abraham. What Hamas apparently does not understand is that the land in Israel does not and never will belong to them. I don't think that killing people or wrongfully taking land will change God's mind or change events that happened over 2,000 years ago. I see the Israeli War as a sign of things to come; therefore I must support those Jews who are being persecuted by the son of the bondwoman. To understand more about the son of the bondwoman you can read my article titled The Blessing and the Covenant: A Scriptural Perspective on the Violence Against Israel by Radical Islam.

What the Israeli War Means to Me

The Israeli War essentially means that they will not tolerate groups such as Hamas encroaching on their freedom. As a country they show zero tolerance for dysfunction and mass chaos like Hamas has so very well displayed. To be honest with you, after this Israeli War is concluded, I would not mind if Hamas was completely leveled. The current Israeli War should send a message to all those groups who plan on acting out in a defiant manner. The message should be, think twice before acting out on your un-medicated impulses.

My Personal Opinion about the Israeli War

In closing I would like to say that I do understand that there are multitudes of good Muslims all across the world. My opinion is not towards them, but towards those who groups who thrive off of hate, murder, thievery, lying and deceit. The Israeli War needs to be fought to help counter balance the terrorism in the Middle East. The Israeli War needs to be a reminder that not every country is for terrorism. This Israeli War should be a reminder that the persecution of Jews is not blessed by the God that I know.

Excellent article! The history of Hamas's rise to power in Palestine reflects the dangers of creating democracies in the Middle East. I fear that a similar event will happen in Iraq and we will have two hostile Shiite nations: Iraq and Iran.

All Freedom loving people should support Israel's defense of her homeland. Good article!

Great work. I ditto Nikki's comment.

You make a good point Melpol. As long as Hamas is around using civilians as a shield it will be near impossible to get rid of them. They should however make a strong point to Hamas that their tolerance level is zero when it comes to bullying their country. The United States will not deliberate with terrorist groups, sho why should Israel have to? We are asking another country to do something that we wont even consider doing ourselves.

Thanks for your response Annie. We agree that Hamas should not fire Rockets into Gaza, but do remember, the Gaza Strip never belonged to Hamas in the first place. Civilians happen to be caught in the middle as with any war. Hamas is using the civilians as a shield of protection. Yes it can be a humanitarian crisis but that is not what it is as a whole. Israel should protect their country at all cost, just as I would expect the United States to do if a terrorist organization was sending rockets into our country. Annie I respect your comment but I have to disagree with some of it.

The Israeli response is completely wrong and disproportionate. No, Hammas should not fire rockets into Israel. Israel should not be massacring innocent civilians. This is a humanitarian crisis. You speak of the persecution of Jews, however the people being persecuted in this situation are the Palestinians residing in Gaza.

    Good article...

I agree with the war, but it is kind of scary because of what Revelations says about the end of days...

Betsy let me clarify why I point to Genesis. It is where the beginning of this all started. Also Galatians is where it states where the son of the bondwoman will persecute those who were born of the spirit by the freewoman. The bondwoman being Hagar and the freewoman being Sarah. You are corret when you say you have to read the entire text. Thanks for your comment

I suppose those that point to Genesis are not Christians, but must be of the Jewish faith. God promised the nation of Israel in his covenant with Abraham, but believe Jesus also taught that God was spirit and everywhere and not in Israel, and that if they didn't shape up in their legalistic beliefs they would lose the Temple and Israel. He was sent to warn and walk among them, and his prophesies were ignored at their peril. They got back their land with the U.S. help after World War II. We have armed them and assisted them greater than other other nation in the world. It is time for Israel to take up their own cross.....their defense and weaponry outrank any other nation in that region of the world, and yet we still have those in this country pointing to Genesis instead of reading the entire text.
