The Jewel Box in St. Louis
Neighborhood: Forest Park
Saint Louis, MO 63110
United States of America
The Jewel Box got its name when a visitor in the 1930's remarked how the floral patterns resembled a jewel box. Now, Its art deco design and towering vertical glass walls attract visitors from around the world.

In 2002 the Jewel Box got a 3.5 million dollar face lift. The renovation included replacing the mechanical systems and improving the floral display area. Now you can have your wedding reception here, amidst a backdrop of tropical plants and trees. The Jewel Box will even cater it for you.

Before you walk into the building, you'll notice two magnificent reflecting ponds complete with hardy and tropical water lilies, giant Papyrus and Thalia looming large over the water.

When you enter the building, you'll become immediately enthralled by the sheer magnitude of the palm trees towering over the walkway. Stroll into the main area and you'll see a different floral display depending on the time of year.
