The JML Ped Egg: A Review:

3cardmonte
Now, I have had hard, rough skin on the bottom of my feet for as long as I care to remember, I have tried every pumice stone, foot file, cheese grater type apparatus available. So when the JML ped egg was advertised I thought I would give it a go.

It wasn't cheap at a recommended retail price of £9.99, but luckily the store I bought it from had it on offer at half price, so I gave it a go.

The item.

Once you manage to fight your way into the packaging, you will be greeted by a small sleek, lightweight...egg.

You need to then pull the top from the egg to reveal the file section, which looks like the file section of any other foot file to be honest.

Also, the underside of the egg has a flat surface which you can stick the emery pads to, (these came with the egg), simply peel the backing paper off and stick it onto the appropriate section and voila! You can gently file the skin on your feet.

But the metal file section is for the more stubborn skin on the bottoms of your feet, particularly around the heel area where it tends to gather.

The theory.

The theory behind the ped egg is that it will remove even the toughest skin from your feet and it will not leave a mess due to its innovative design.

The reality.

The file was no different to any other foot file I have ever used, the teeth were too small to make any real dent in the dead skin and as for leaving no mess, forget it. The second you tip the thing upside down, all the gross stuff comes out of the holes in the file!

In short, in my experience the ped egg is not for those who suffer with problem skin on their feet.

Good, fair review. It's not for everyone. I like my ped egg, but people have to understand its no miracle... First, I start with clean, dry feet. Then, OVER THE TRASH CAN lol, I file, trying to keep the contraption upside down so the filings stay in. then I go to town, eventually even using the little emery board thing to buff. Then, I apply a healthy dose of lotion and socks. You really see and feel the results the next day! Looking down, I see how bad my feet look, so I'm off to ped-egg and then maybe even a bit of polish! Thanks for the review...and you're prob right. Just like any other foot filer, nothing too special here! But in a pinch, it can work.

I completely agree. It isn't bad, but it isn't any better than any other. Great review.

I've wondered if those things work. Thanks for your honest review.
