The Joy of Hope Foundation Needs Assistance

Foundation Seeking Assistance so They Can Help Others

Carmella Mae Dunkin
We are the Dunkin Family and we suffer from what is called, "Sick Building Syndrome". Because of what we have been through and the pain we have suffered, we founded The Joy Of Hope Foundation. The Joy Of Hope is for helping other people who are living, or working in a sick building, and to educate the world on the dangers of toxic mold. At this time we are looking for a cheap, small, clean class C that we can make payments on for 1 - 3 years. We are not looking for anything huge, just something small, but enough room to sleep 5 - 6 people, and is free of any water damage or mold. We have no down payment and we can only pay so much per month, but we can pay at least $300.00 a month, (have to leave ourselves room for campground fee's), We are still trying to recover from our own toxic mold poisoning. So we do not have lots of money, and certainly no money for a big down payment on an expensive rig. We are looking for a good used class C, with fairly low millage, and less than $15,000.00 At this point the foundation is 99% all out of our pocket cost. It seems very few want to make a donation. To date there have only been enough donations to print some educational liturature. At this point though, we have used NONE of the donated money, because there is that little there and we do not feel right to use any of it to print up anything, as long as we can buy a ream of paper here and there, and we have ink in our printer.

We are both talented in many areas and would glady do some work to help pay for an RV. My husband is an awesome artist. He does airbrushing, woodburning, gourd crafting. We both are web designers, and graphic designers and can do work, or train someone how to do the work themselves. I design jewelry and make an awesome all natural hand cream. We both also are freelance writers for Associated Content, Helium, advertising articles for a company online, and a few other online publications. There are lots of areas that we could barter in, in exchange for an RV.

We feel God is leading us to travel and talk to people across the Country who need to be educated on toxic molds and Sick Building Syndrome, so we are determined to travel and tell our story to everyone who will listen, but we need an RV, or something better than a tent, in order to do this, and help others before it is too late for them, as it was for us!

We need an Angel RV'er who is looking to upgrade to a new RV, and is in a position to buy their new RV, but sell us their old RV on an "easy payment plan". We honestly do not want anything for free, we just need a little help getting started so that we can be mobile and help other people avoid the pain and turmoil we have gone through. We need a compassionate soul that has a kind heart and deep love for others. We are trying to help people as much as we can, but we are stuck in a catch 22 because of all our illnesses and financial pitfall because of those illnesses and injuries.

I have been told for years that it is sinful to have so much pride that you refuse to ask for help when you need it. We have asked for no help at all all these past 6 years, in fact we were candidates for a Habitat For Humanity home, and pulled ourselves out of the running for a home, because there were three other families we felt were more in need than us. So we are now asking, please will someone help us get an RV so that we can live in a clean home that is our own, and so that we can travel and educate others so they do not have to suffere as we have?

I will not post our story here, it is much too long, but you can visit our web site at The Joy Of Hope, and read our story, as well as a few others stories. You can also see what we are trying to achieve through The Joy Of Hope Foundation, and our dreams for the future.
