It will be sixty years old this year
Since already the summer was over
We have no idea what plants will appear
Well this is my gardening poem
I really enjoy the outdoors
A few hours spent in the garden
Is a pleasure, not really a chore
Already the lawn has been blooming
With dozens of crocuses bright
They signal the end of the winter
And make such a wonderful sight
I had no choice but to go grab my camera
And captured some beautiful shots
Which I quickly uploaded as slide shows
And these have been viewed quite a lot
Now it's time for the Daffodils
Whose buds are beginning to turn
A wonderful shade of bright yellow
I hope winter just doesn't return
March also signals the season
For bringing out forks, hoes and rakes
It's time to dig over the garden
And I know my back surely will ache
Our garden is more clay than soil
And it's solid as solid can be
It needs plenty of regular digging
To keep the flower beds weed free
I hope that as summer progresses
That plenty of flowers will grow
Giving more photo opportunities
And material for more slide shows
You can see the first Crocuses in our garden here.
