The acupressure therapy is developing rapidly all over the world. This Chinese therapy is used very widely to cure almost all the chronic diseases. There are specific points located on the human body that indicate the defects in a particular organ. If you suffer severe pain while pressing some of such points, it can be concluded that the organ related to that point has developed some defects. The acupressure therapy consists of applying suitable pressure on such points by using our own hands and fingers. I am a certified acupressure therapy practitioner and have been practicing this unique therapy since last ten years. I am going to cover the key factors that are responsible for the successful acupressure therapy in this article.

The first and the foremost factor would be to find out the exact location of a point on your body for a particular organ. The experienced practitioners can easily locate such points. If any organ has developed defects in a human body, the points related to that organ become highly sensitive and the patient would suffer a severe pain if that point is pressed properly by the practitioner. There are some instruments also available for locating such points quickly based on the principle of conductivity of electricity. The acupressure therapy can be given by our own hands and fingers. Hence, no special instruments are required for the therapy. The next vital factor is the time for the treatment. The various human organs become active during the different times during the day. It would be the best to give acupressure therapy for that organ at that particular time to get maximum benefits. For example, the acupressure therapy for lungs is most beneficial if given between 3 am and 5 am in the morning. The amount of pressure to be applied on the points is the next vital aspect. This depends on the location of the point on human body, the type and severity of the diseases, the age of the patient, the physical condition of the patient, and the gender of the patient. The medium to heavy pressure can be applied in case the disease is in advanced stage and the patient is in position to bear such high pressure. The technique of giving this pressure also plays a vital role in curing the diseases. It has been observed that the steady and medium pressure can give excellent results. If the skin of the patient is highly sensitive and thin, the talcum powder and the scented oil can be applied on the body. The next aspect is the time duration of such therapy. It has been established that such treatment can be given for around fifteen minutes maximum per day in around two to three sittings in case of an adult medium built person. The acupressure therapist must keep their nails of the fingers of the hands properly trimmed all the time so as to prevent the injury to the patients.

There are some specific instructions that must be followed while giving such treatment. The treatment may not be given in case the patient is extremely tired and the heart beats are very high. The treatment is also not to be given in case the patient is extremely hungry. The treatment can be given after around two hours of the meal. If the patient has taken any allopathic medicine, try to give acupressure treatment after around two hours of taking such medicine. This treatment should never be imparted to the pregnant women. The treatment also may not be taken within half an hour of hot water bath. The treatment also may not be given in case any bone injury is there in the area near the specific point. This treatment should not be given in case there is a wound on the skin near the treatment point. The treatment must be taken in a well lighted airy room having lot of sunlight. The treatment place must be kept same through out the treatment as far as possible. The acupressure therapy is to be taken continuously for around three to four months without any break so as to get maximum benefits out of it.

I have treated thousands of patients suffering from various chronic diseases using this unique acupressure therapy within a time period of around three to four months. The success rate of this acupressure therapy in my career has been around 75%. This therapy is very simple, inexpensive and has no side effects. The only factor that is most vital is to take such treatment from only the well educated and experienced instructor in the field of acupressure.
