Many never question's him volunteering to the Veteran Administration Hospital, where many disable soldiers were treated with different degrees of problems? To this humble individual it was an honor for him more than they realized. They just knew on Monday, the gentleman they call Mister Edgar was always there to assist.

The director of the local Salvation Army was another organization the sixty year old man always gave his time too. Wherever they needed him you would see him accept the assignments without a gripe or complaint. While Tuesday were the designated day of volunteering they offer him the chance to do more days, if he chose too.

On Wednesday, he worked at the local senior citizen complex called Quiet Rest, a place that holds memories that's dear to him. Many staff members, only knew the guy they called Mister Ed ,from the visit he paid to his wife, at the center. Who passed away months ago from a serious health issues? But, it didn't stop him from still offering his time. Many don't know how , he's able to be brave enough to still come? But every Wednesday's he was there to assist.

He was a welcome site ,at the American Red Cross organization, as a blood donor as well, as a support staff member. Who would never accept a pay position's that many thought he should? He always remarked kindness was a goal taught to him years ago: as, a youth , by his parents. And no one should accept payment for it because it defeats the purpose of giving. Many have wonder, why he only gave his service on Thursday? They just never got a answer except that was his only free time.

Friday, he serve his time driving as a valet for Mental Health organizations that needed to get their clients around town for their assigned visits with the organizations. While they paid him for his mileage he usually donated it to other charities. The one thing that puzzle them were the automobiles, he drove that were always modern and well kept. But, they were very appreciative of his help they wished they had more like him assisting them in services.

On Saturday, he always took off to visit his decease wife grave site that always had fresh roses daily. This was his personal time with the woman, who showed him about love and kindness? Who took him from not going to church to being their constantly after they married decades ago? He's a deacon and that's surprised him but not her while she was living. She saw the good within his heart.

On Sunday, he was assisting in all avenues of the church. Whether, as bus driver or Sunday school instructor he made the congregation pastor's proud. Still many knew he missed his wife if , he never came out loud to voice it.

The following Monday, many places , where he offered his services, as an assistance were shocked to hear on the national and local news, of the death , of Edgar James, Kind? The Chief Executive Officer ,of the Kind Heart Foundation, but was truly shocked to see and learned that their volunteer was the man simply known, as Mister Ed.

Within their midst they had an angel, who accepted assignments without complaints? They were even more shocked to receive $100, 000 donation from his organization. Along with, a note that stated "A kind heart doesn't require nothing but love." Obvious something he learned from his wife. Who loved him unconditionally.
