The Kitchen Witch Flies Again!

Unpacked and Back on the Job

David A. Reinstein, LCSW

Flying in place
O'er stove, fridge and sink,
She contributes much more
Than one might casually think;
Sprinkling dashes of magic
On both people and food,
Hanging there from the ceiling
She enhances the mood.

Tucked away in a closet
For many a year,
Happily rediscovered
With good Mo-Jo to share.
Flying again
Without bump, crash or hitch,
Our lives are enhanced
By the old Kitchen Witch.

She began as an ornament,
A generational joke;
Now she floats overhead
And is one of the folk.
Packing her away,
In hindsight, was wrong
This, the family now knows;
That witch again
Sings her magically tasty song.
