Do you enjoy the arts and the outdoors? If so then The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is definitely the place for you. The Shakespeare Festival season is from July 12 to August 19th. The Festival has been going on for 35 years. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is held at Sand Harbor. At Sand Harbor you will find an outdoor amp theater with a beautiful stage. At the Amp theater there will be Shakespeare Productions held nightly during the Festival. This years Productions will be the classic love story of Romeo and Juliet and The Taming of the Shrew. There is also going to be one non-Shakespeare play called the Greater Tuna. The play Greater Tuna is a comedy about a rural America. The Performers will be from the Foothill Theater Company from Nevada City, California, who is in their 11th year at The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival.

The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is a great cultural event. It is something everyone can enjoy while keeping the arts alive. Every year it brings is over 30,000 spectators to Lake Tahoe's shores. At the festival you will also find food and beverage vendors. There are many great things to choose from. This year the festival is announcing what is called its "Shakespeare's Kitchen." The Kitchen will have food selections from around the world as well as complete meals. There will also be Vegetarian food and children's dinners. You can grab something that is pre-made, or you can have a meal prepared for you there. You will also find many fine wines, beers and liquors. There will be food and drink at the festival for anyone's price range.

This Festival is amazing, it's a great place to sit back and relax while enjoying Shakespeare. You can head right to the festival after work and have a great dinner and a nice glass of wine. You can watch the sun set while you are sitting it's the most beautiful thing ever, a Lake Tahoe sunset. You can also put your feet in the sand and hear the lapping of the Lake Tahoe water in the background while you watch the performance. The Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival is something that everyone should take an opportunity to enjoy.
