Laker Are Back on Their A-Game|Here We Come Game-7

Lakers seem like they are back to their old selves, ey? Now this is the type of team work that the people have been asking for. Everybody is in sync, sharing the ball and scoring. Not to mention the defensive pressure they have applied, limiting their oppents to a very lousy scoring exibition in the first half.

Now Kobe can take control, but the momentum must be set first and that is exactly what the team provided. Kobe also has done more of something in this game that he lacked in the last game. "Taking it to the Hole." Constantly attacking the rim not only spreaded the floor for the rest of the team, but it also sent him to the free-throw line. Despite constantly stopping the clock and slowing down the tempo, it still allows L.A. to put points on the board. And! Kobe did not score over 30 points. Coincidence? I thinkk not! The spark of the bench, as I always say it, had really set the precedence and helped the team maintain the poise and control over the game. Spectacular dunks and theatrics via Shannon Brown stirred the crowd up and gave the fans their money's worth. Famar's fast pace and pestering moves caused many turnovers. These are sometimes the unsung heroes. Their contributions are often underrated, yet they such such a major impact on the game. When the bench scores points that combine for over 20 points, then we know that L.A. has become a force to be rekoned with. Rebounds and scoring by the starters like Ron Artest, major contributions and stepping it up by Gasol and tough playing by even the injured-like Bynum with his busted knee-and even the presence of Odom provided good Laker action to the fans. You'd hsve to think that Jack was very happy. The only thing though, Kobe still needs to stop complaining with the refs. We all knew that eventually his clapping of his hands and thrusting them about in a angry fashion fashion would soon work the nerves of the officiating crew. Even though Tony Allen was holding him, his aggressive demeanor immediately after left the ref no time to redeem himself, but instead retaliate against a very hostile and almost disrepectful Kobe. The attempted comeback by Boston in the fourth quarter illustrated how they are still very capable of putting points together in a hurry. Under 10 minutes left in the game and L.A. showed a hint of complacentness. Such a no-no when dealing with a vintage team as the Celtics. This also proves that there must be no letting up by L.A. Perserverence and a consistent hustle must be maintained.

The Lakers put on a clinic tonight in game-6 with a great recipe for the win cooked up by Phil. This same tactic must follow into the Final game of the season. See you at Game-7
