While Don Bora was taking a walk through the Lakeview neighborhood one summer evening with his wife, they strolled by the Lakeview Pantry food bank. One, the window was a sign stating that they were collecting used children's school uniform that were to go to needy families. Don Bora thought that there was little awareness and too small of a market to capture the needed awareness for such an important cause. It was at that moment that Don Bora realized that he could be of help.

In 2005, Don Bora's software company started Rubity.com -- a website created to facilitate the task of long-distance holiday shoppers. The concept had customers complete a wish list and forward it on to far away friends and family so they could receive gifts that they actually wanted. He applied this concept to assist the Lakeview Pantry by connecting the food bank with other people who also are interested in giving back.

The Lakview Pantry was the first charity to get involved and now it has three charity drives on it's website.
