The Land of the Lost

Catdog
Mountains and their climbers,
Milestones, muddy waters.
The sea infinite as death,
As I hold my last breath.

Yearning to see your face
Longing for your embrace
Wanting to touch your hand
Hearing your voice demand
Tasting your lips to mine

Awaiting the steep decline
As my heart drops the beat
Realizing I haven't the heat
To keep myself warm on my own
Needing you, heating at home

Pain that hath stricken me
The only holder of the key
That unlocks my feet
For I've fallen, pure defeat.

Lost without you
Have not a clue
And am frozen without you here
In a land, they call nowhere.
