Neighborhood: Royal Oak
Royal Oak, MI 48067
United States of America
The Landmark Theatre at 118 N. Main St. in Royal Oak is known for the independent and foreign language films it has shown since 1997. Originally built in the early 1940s, it started out as just a regular movie theater, with only one screen. Now, there are three screens that allow you to choose which of the "art house" movies you'd like to watch.

The Landmark Theatre has won the Metro Times "Best Place to see an Independent Film" award six times - the most recent being in 2010. This proves that Royal Oak residents enjoy having a selection of these types of movies as well as a nice place at which to view them.
