O what a joy it is
wind in my face
bugs hitting my cheeks
cars zoom around, impatient
avoiding pot holes
wind in my face
bugs hitting my cheeks
cars zoom around, impatient
avoiding pot holes
and there i see
in the other lane
another scooterist,
just like me!
he beeps three times
and gives a smile
and between us
passes a friendship
though i know not his name
or where he is headed
we are friends
a part of an unspoken society
the society of scooters
patient and cheap
it makes me smile
until i get a bug in my teeth
