It had been a long night. Jean had fallen asleep in his arms, her face still showed weariness from all her crying. Thankfully, she did at last sleep. He knew he must leave for Harvard University today and continue to do his best in his fourth year of the English scholarship he had won. Jean was to continue on her second year of her English scholarship at City University of New York--Brooklyn College.
"John! Are you there?"
"I'm right here, my Love!" he called out to her as he quickly walked into the bedroom.
"Oh, thank goodness! I thought you had gone! Why didn't you awaken me? There's so little time now."
"Jean, you were so weary when you finally went to sleep last night. I wanted you to sleep well, enjoy breakfast together, and to feel good about starting back to our universities again. We'll be together for the Christmas holiday, and Spring break, and you know we'll have the rest of our lifetime together."
"You think I'm just being a baby, right?"
"No, you're my Baby, but you're sexy, and definitely not like a little baby!" John grinned.
"How about some of my delicious eggs, sausage and toast, Jean?"
"I am starving!" Jean kissed him on his lips, cheek, and blew into his ear.
"Ah, now that's more like it!" He let out a low growl, hugging her tightly.
John placed the food on the plates, adding a sprig of parsley, which he said not only made the yellow plate with white roses look attractive but added that it was good for digestion.
He whistled a wolf whistle as he stroked her lean legs, so sexy, long and taut, stretching out of her baby blue baby doll. Their eyes locked, and he gently squeezed her as he picked her up, kissed her lustily on the lips, and placed her on her seat. He kissed her on the cheek as he went to sit down.
"Enjoy breakfast, Jean! Even though I let you sleep, there's still plenty of time to eat, shower together, and say a proper 'goodbye.'"
"Please don't say 'goodbye!' You know that it sounds too final to me! Just say 'Hasta luego.'"
"I forgot! Yesterday at the beach, and making love after watching "Titanic" last night is still on my mind. I'm really going to miss you, but I prefer to say 'goodbye' to people because when my Dad passed away, I never had time to hug him and kiss him. I was at a pub near the University, and as you know I couldn't be reached. Going to his wake and burial was not true closure. I'll always miss that."
"Well, we're both young, and I prefer to be optimistic about us living long lives together!" She stifled a tear quickly. She knew she had to be strong. "We'll be together at Christmastime, John!"
She didn't stifle that tear quickly enough. John was up from his seat and kissed her softly on her pouting lips. "Remember that we'll be getting married after I graduate from Harvard. You know I plan to spend forever with you!"
"I'm looking forward to showering with you, but we'd better finish eating quickly, or there will be little time, Jean."
"This is delicious, John. You're such a good cook."
Jean cleared the plates as John headed into the bathroom to start the water.
"I'll do the dishes afterwards," she said.
"As she entered the bathroom, John was doing a strip-tease dance. He danced around like the husband in the movie "P.S. I Love You."
"I love it!" Jean grinned, as she stepped into the shower. "Come on, let's lather you up now!"
"I love lathering you up and getting you squeaky clean, Love!"
"I'm waiting to lather you up next! You're beautiful when your long, dark hair is wet and falling down your back! You're green eyes really sparkle when I look at you after I wash you, Jean!"
John began latering up Jean. Their eyes locked as he noticed how exciting her sparkling eyes looked again! "God, you're beautiful! Are you truly mine?"
"Yes, we truly belong to each other!"
They grew quiet as they dressed.
"I want you to leave me lots of those romantic private messages like you used to when we were first dating, John!"
"I promise! I'll call you every evening!"
"I'm proud that you got that scholarship to Harvard, John, but I wish we were going to the same university."
"I'm proud of you too!" He touched the tip of her pert nose with his finger. "Remember, I love you, and try not to worry!" They kissed a long, steamy kiss, and headed to their separate cars.
"I'll be hanging on to your every word in your private messages and to your wonderful, sexy voice during phone calls, John!"
"Call you tonight!"
