Once before I died alone
The last heartbeat was painfully slow
And now in darkness I've died again
No one to claim as a friend
Don't know where I'm going or where I've been
The love of once and long ago diminishes the fires glow
Living thrice, I thrice, I try once more
But nothing is like it was before
In darkness, I hide all the pain
The blood washes away with the rain
And the beating heart beats no more
The last heartbeat changes to four
