The Law of Attraction

Sea Shepherd
Have you ever wondered why things happen to you the way they do? Do you wonder why you keep finding the wrong guys to date? How about money? Why do others have more than you do?

I bought a CD a few weeks ago called "The Secret". It's basically about the Law of Attraction, but told in a way that changed my life and is changing lives around me as I pass it on to friends and family. This is not a movie. There are successful people from all walks of life talking about how the law of attraction has helped them. In other words, like kind attracts like kind. And we do this with our thoughts. Our thoughts create positive or negative energy into the Universe and it comes back the way it was put out.

Funny, I always knew how I felt when I was surrounded by people who were positive verses those who negative, because I am a positive person by nature. And those people who always complained about life either made me feel sorry for them and I would help them or I would just have to walk away because they just didn't help themselves and would drained my energy. I knew I couldn't be friends with these type people on a long term basis.

Did you ever think how your negative comments or thoughts might affect you also? Ever wonder why one person seems to have so many bad things happen to them? Well, if you focus on your problems daily whatever they may be, you are generating that type of energy back to you. Holding onto your past or present failures, relationships, or any type of victim situation you felt you were in, only keeps you in the past and you don't have room for the present, let alone the future.

I have always been lucky and grateful in my life overall, despite my heartaches or tragedies. And I sure did have them. But it was the way I handled it. I knew there were reasons for me to experience what I did, and I would turn it around. This is what the law of attraction is all about. Your mind plays an important role in your well-being. Your thoughts are what you attract.

Primarily it is like the old saying "you reap what you sow". But in this case we are talking about our thoughts. What we think plays apart of what we get in life. It's our energy being put out to the Universe.

When we truly focus what we want, we will get it. I had this happened to me when I had a problem in a goal I wanted to accomplish. I started on focusing on a different way to attain it and within months, I was able to find the solution. For me, that had to do with a retirement plan that had a snag. One area that worked for many years stopped all of a sudden. By me focusing my energy in a positive way rather than feeling sorry for myself, I ended up buying 2 homes within two years, renting out one home for two years with a positive cash flow and having the other as a vacation home in the mountains. And this was while I was still living in a third home. The values of those homes I bought made up for more than I lost with my other plan. I now sold the home I lived in, moved into the second home and paid off that mortgage, and the vacation home will now be our retirement home. I never had such a strong urge before to make this retirement plan work. The bottom line I learned from that was you do have to put things to action to make it work. You can't just dream it. You have to be a doer and not let your fears keep you a prisoner.

Here is another way for me to get the point across. Are you in debt? How many times daily do you focus on that debt? By focusing on the debt and not focusing on what it would be like to be out of debt, you are creating an attraction for more debt. Visualize yourself of being out of debt. Try and feel what it would feel like. Believe it and it will happen that you can live out of debt. And remember, you have to put it to action with some kind of structure but set the structure and forget it. Don't have it be the focus of your day to day living. It will choke you. You can apply this to everything you think in life, money, family problems, and relationships. When we put ourselves as victims, we stay as a victim. When we complain, we attract what we are complaining about. Release yourself from the past and start living your present. The future will improve when you no longer think of the past. It's over. Why hold onto it.

You must focus on the positives. You must be grateful for what you have and for all your ups and downs in life, yes, and the downs too. It creates the ups in your life if you let it happen.

If you say, "I can't ever find a good boyfriend" then you will not find a good boyfriend. Put out to the Universe, "I will find a good boyfriend because I'm worthy of one". Structure your thoughts in the right frame of mind and you will see your life changing. Sometimes we have to go through different directions or meet different people to get where we are suppose to be. But we will get there if we let it happen.

So this is what one CD made me realize that I had all along, but just would forget to use it. So visualize what you want, tell the Universe those desires, put it to action, and be grateful for what you already have. That's what "Life is a Journey" is all about. You might be thinking something is throwing you a curve ball, but that curve ball might really be the key to your happiness.
