This is "reportedly" a little-known secret (if you consider the fact 'that about 1% of the world's population controls 94% of the world's treasury' to be "evidence" of the knowledge's commonality). But really, just-about anyone who reads knows that 'secret'; because one of the most-read books in the world is the Holy Bible, and the secret knowledge is a lesson of the Bible (dumbed-down and sped-up for today's instant-gratification mentality).
See, every wealthy/powerful person will tell you that the reason they have the power or the wealth is "luck" ... well, they may not tell you that's the reason; but "luck" is usually part of the equation.
Take my case as an example. ('And I said to the attorney, 'Take my case, PLEASE!'') When I was 14 years old, I was hit by a car. The physicians who examined the body told my parents that I was bound to to live the rest of my life as a car-battery.
But my parents knew I was a 'miracle,' and chose to keep me connected for a little while longer. Thus I was presented with the option of enlivening my own body. Being presented with that option, I chose to take it.
Perhaps that's the secret sought: How do we choose? The Law of Attraction is surely necessary knowledge, as we cannot really choose until the choice is presented.
If I tried to tell you exactly, I would be wrong. "We all have our own choices to make," choices which are 'undefinable' or 'unreasonable'---'wrong' to try to describe either way.
The 'choosing' is done by the feelings we have about the attracted-things. (I was going to say "feelings the attracted-things make us feel," but that's how the 1% keeps the 99% out of power).
Imagining 'what we want' to be sentient of its role in our lives, it's easy to see that its entire worth relies on the fact that it is "useful"---for example, I saw a webpage for million-dollar-bills. As they are not 'legal tender,' they go for about $15-a-pop.
Now, I'm not 'expecting' my mailbox to overflow with million-dollar-bills everyday; but I would choose to feel good about it if it did, because I might then go and sell them to people for a large 'discount' (from the posted price). The bills make me feel good because I make them feel 'useful.'
A dog defecates in the parking-lot at my apartment. I see that as "useless" because a) it makes my neighborhood less-attractive and b) I don't own any equipment suitable to clean it up. Maybe a dog's defecation will appear in my apartment parking-lot--though I hope it does not--because I've imagined it. But the defecation won't like being there, the dog will feel bad for having put it there, and I will be disgusted at seeing it. It would make me feel 'bad' because I help make it 'useless.'
(It may seem like I slipped into the poor 99%'s "make me feel"-attitude again there, but 'ya` know what I mean!')
I hope you believe me; but, just in case you choose not to believe me, I offer you some further research: ... Labeled a 'comedy' based on the Law of Attraction It's only a comedy if you can tell that the wheelchair-bound complainer is actually a successful businessman. It's actually a morality of sorts: Don't put miracles on a schedule. -- I saw this linked from a blog while surfing Blagazoo.com
Researching YouTube, I got to one video that kind of sucked, and I knew about halfway-through that it wasn't going to be that useful; but what brought me to it was its connection to The Law of Attraction ... hmmm ...
This application of The Secret is pretty-much the secret of John Alanis's "Make Them Come to You"-system. (Oh, that system still teaches you a more-active method; but that's if you're going out for that). -- Man! if I were gay, this guy would have me SO ON now! ... i.e. drop your nets and follow him.
-- You definitely want to see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=phL0RLKL8bc (Trust me.) -- See a quick, full explanation -- the secret in pre-elementary terms-- "You don't always get what you want, but you ALWAYS get what you vibrate." -- I feel like this guy's brother.
