This happened to me several times. I realized why it happened. Because I wouldn't surrender the need to know the details. I'd set my intentions, recite and write down my affirmations, visualize good things happening, but after all that I'd still worry about how it would happen or worry if would happen at all, which slowed down or stopped progress all together.
Then, eventually I was guided to 'go with the flow' and not worry about the details. In all honesty, this is easier said than done in the beginning, since it's a foreign concept. After all, if you ask someone to give you ride to the store, you're not going to jump into the driver's seat of their car and drive. No, you're going to sit in the passenger seat and allow them to take you to your destination trusting that they know how to get there and get you there safely. The law of surrender is the same concept.
The law of surrender is the art of letting go of the need to know all the details. There is no need to know how something will happen. It's as simple as understanding that it will happen. Letting go of the details actually helps your intentions and goals manifest quicker.
Here are a few tips to help you with embracing the law of surrender in your daily living:
Tip #1 - Relax your mind. Your transformation takes place first in your mind, your thoughts. In an effort to clear your mind, each morning or each evening, write two or three pages of all the negative thoughts and negative feelings you're experiencing. Once you've written all that down, throw the pages away as a gesture of releasing the negative to make room for the positive. In addition to this writing exercise, you can also practice the Corpse Pose, which is a popular position in yoga. You simply lie down on a yoga or exercise mat allowing your body to relax naturally into position. Letting your feet fall gently in a natural position, your palms are facing up, and you relax and soften your face and your entire body. Stay in this position for at least fifteen minutes and you can stay in it for a longer period of time. It may take some getting used to, but you'll get the hang of this deep relaxation. It works wonders, if done consistently.
Tip #2 - Refresh your mind. Once you've removed negative thoughts and negative feelings from your mind, then start to write down positive things such as, "I go with the flow of life" or "I trust the flow of life." You can use both of these if you wish. After all, it's all about trust and having faith. Go with the flow.
Tip #3 - Replenish your mind. Be still. Allow your thoughts, whether positive or negative, to just drift away from you. Do not ponder the thoughts too long. Every once in awhile, you may find yourself in a negative space again. Sit still and start tips one and two again. Take a day off from work and just have fun. Laugh. Exercise. These are wonderful ways to replenish your mind, putting it back into a positive space if it drifts into the negative again.
As you can see, the best way to apply the law of surrender is through the mind. Your mind can create so many scenarios and situations that are all based on fears and worries. Try the above tips in an effort to counter the fears and worries.
Relax, refresh, and replenish your mind. Letting go of the details and going with the flow will become much easier.
