The character Spyro is back in The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, the second game in a trilogy of Spyro titles to be released. The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night begins where the first title in the series, The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, left off.

Spyro has added a whole new array of powers and features new attack in this latest addition to the Spyro series. The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night features much better graphics than the other titles in the Spyro's series of games. The actual gameplay itself is where major changes have been made. These changes have resulted in a much more action-packed, fun game as opposed to the more boring titles in the past, where the goal was to collect items and figure out puzzles. The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night still features puzzles, but puts much more focus on fighting and combat. This is a very good combination, because it pleases fans of both the new and old versions of Spyro.

There is a lot of fighting in this game, but with the addition of new powers that Spryo can use when attacking, there is never a dull fight. These powers and attacks include: breathing fire, ice, electricity, etc. There are number of various attacks and powers that the player can unlock as he or she gets further into the game, and other bonuses will continue to be unlocked. Also, the damage that is done by each power or attack will increase as the player makes upgrades by accomplishing more in the game, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night.

A brand new element in the game is a feature call Dragon Time. Dragon Time is basically a power that Spyro can activate during gameplay. This feature is very unique, because it is the power to have slow motion at any point during the game. There is only a certain amount of slow motion power that Spyro can use. This feature is particularly nice when fighting big battles against main characters or even when fighting a lot people at once.

The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, I believe, will restore the Spyro franchise. This is due to the fact that the developers came up with a good balance between fighting and puzzle-solving during gameplay. This is where past games in the series have failed, because the game either featured all puzzle-solving or all fighting. This title will definitely make players, of both the old and new titles of Spyro, happy. There is definitely enough action to keep the gameplay intense, but the gameplay contains many puzzles, but not so many that it bores the player. Not only will players and fans of the other Spyro games take pleasure in playing The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night, but anyone who enjoys video games in general will find The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night entertaining and fun.
