The Lenovo Yoga Pocketbook Netbook Design Review

Corey Roberts
The Lenovo Pocket Yoga Netbook is a concept proto-type that has some very neat features that are eagerly awaited by many excited netbook users. Search for the "Lenovo Pocket Yoga Netbook" will result in seeing leaked pictures of the new concept netbook.

There are many functions that allow the Lenovo Yoga to out compete standard "cookie-cutter" mini books. The Yoga looks like a Sony VAIO P because of the wide display and is complemented by a narrow screen. The wide design allows the keyboard to have more usability, as the cramped keyboard sizes of typical netbooks tend to be a downfall of smaller notebooks.

The Lenovo Pocket Yoga Design

The secret weapon of the Pocket Yoga is that it comes equipped with a touchscreen that is utilized with a stylus. Mini netbooks of this size and caliber do not have touch screens and this creates a huge competitive advantage for this unique net book. Another design feature that makes the Yoga different is that the hinge that is centrally located allows the Pocket Yoga to look more like a wallet, than a netbook. One of the reasons why Lenovo has decided on the leather pocketbook design is so that they could design a netbook that blurred the lines between fashion and technology. The hinge can rotate a full 360 degrees which allows the user to lock the Mini Book into three different positions. In one position, the net book can be used like a traditional laptop. In position two, the Yoga can be used as a touch screen tablet and position three makes the Yoga look like a pocket book. Leather wraps the outside of this Lenovo and creates a stylish pocket book/nurse appearance. Most net book designs look sleek and svelte, while the Yoga Pocket Book looks more like a long leather pocket book. The dimensions will allow users to easily stick this award winning contraption into a shirt pocket, or into a small purse.

Price and Availability

Do you want to get your hands on one of these? Well don't hold your breath as the Lenovo Yoga Pocket Netbook is only a concept design that is not being produced (as of 2009). However, it is comforting to know that there are new and promising design features for netbooks in the future.
