I had purchased an LG television, so I opted for the LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System. I got it on sale for $499.99 at Best Buy.
With the LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System you get a great Blu-Ray DVD player with an integrated AM/FM stereo receiver, four satellite speakers and a center channel speaker with a passive sub-woofer.
The playback quality on the LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater Systems Blu-Ray DVD player is fantastic. It works best if you use Blu-Ray disks, but the player with even upconvert the older style non Blu-Ray DVD's and give you a crisper, clearer playback than ever before.
Setting up the LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System was very easy. With all the components, the DVD, AM/FM tuner, and surround sound system all in the same case, everything is available at a touch.
The LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System utilizes LG's Simplelink technology which integrates it nicely with the LG HDTV I already own. This is done by using the HDMI port on the TV and the LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System. This makes it much easier to control both at the same time.
The LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System also has an iPod dock which allows me to use the sound system to play my MP3's. So not only can I listen to the stereo on this system, but all of the tunes I have with me sound like I am right there at a concert.
Another feature that makes the LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System so great is the Netcast Entertainment Access. With this you can get streaming movies from Netflix, and stream audio from Pandora Internet Radio. This way, if you rent a movie from Netflix, you can just stream it, and avoid waiting for the mail.
The LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System is the best audio I have ever had connected to my television. It has Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby True HD, and dts-HD for the best sound you will ever hear.
There is even a night mode feature that works with the equalizer, so that you don't have to turn on subtitles to watch TV at night.
The LG 5.1 Blu-Ray Home Theater System proved to be a great investment for me. I like the convenience of having all of my video and audio options built into the same unit.
