Product Overview:
In the not so distant past washers were meant to be hidden away in a basement or wash room. And the styling of those washers reflected that. While today no one is setting up their living room as a laundry room, it may not be far off with washers like the LG WM2233HD hitting the market. This washer comes in two colors a white and a green. The one I'm reviewing is green, more like a hunter green to be precise. The large concave dome shaped door is centered on the front of this washer and outline in silver chrome. The controls are all laid out on the top with a convenient LED display and digital controls.
Not only does this washer turn heads but it is also loaded down with features. This 4.0 cubic foot washer uses proprietary LG technology they called SenseClean. This will adjust the water level and wash time depending on each individual load. This will undoubtedly please the "green" people out there as it conserves water as well as energy with this technology. Also despite it's large size it still manages to be energy star compliant.
The washing options on the LG WM2233HD seem to go on forever. It includes seven individual wash cycles ranging from hand wash for delicates to a cycle called speed wash when you don't have any time to spare. There are even 5 separate spin speeds including a monster spin speed that produces an enormous 1,100 revolutions per minute which has been especially helpful on loads with several pairs of jeans or towels.
Product Value:
For a top of the line washer with this many feature it surely doesn't have a price that reflects it. Priced under $1000 this is one of the best deals on the market today. Because of its current aggressive pricing I wouldn't expect serious discounts this holiday season, so if you're in need of a washer there is no need to wait around on the LG WM2233HD
