Popularity for it is often an unfamiliar tone
Doesn't consider its beauty a necessity
Is labeled eccentric and not what heads turn to see
Has a pretty good mind
But opened eyes don't always appreciate its essence
It's a disappointment to those who love ideal measurements
To the dismay of many it moves in silence without a trace
However, it creates a buzz by its unforgettable face
It would probably be a sprinter in a long distance race
It does not apologize for being what it is
Nor in a crowded room does it desire to live
Forward and direct in testimony it will be
But some people will question its sincerity
It finds comfort in being considered a rarity
This is a not a conformer's tale for those who need some clarity
This is the story of an individualist who is both admired and ridiculed
Judge it if you will but to its own unique soul it will remain true

Post a CommentDo you consider yourself an individualist?
Yes, and for an individualist however, sometimes freedom's just another word for "nothing left to lose."
Really good.

WOW! A truly beautiful writing. Simple yet expressive. This is just another gem in your collection of jewels.
Awesome in every way! You have poetically described my way of life to a tee! I'd rather be a lone individual that a clone in a crowd! Again, stellar job!
