The Life of Me

What happened to me today,
Everything seemed to be going well.
Things were going as planned,
At least, as far as I could tell.
I rose out of bed this morning,
I was up right away.
Something was different inside of me,
I was ready to face the day,
I was bound and determined,
Today I was not going to quit.
I finally felt so alive,
Today I am going to make it.
Until my mid had to intervene,
Turning my happiness to dust,
Now my thoughts all obscene.
Showing me was is actually real,
Made it all come back again.
And I found that these feelings,
Had been there to begin.
I wonder if there is a good day.
One with some hope for me,
It probably will not.
But that is just the "life of me".
