The Life of Protest 7

That controversial "King of the Chess" has been "overthrown" by the P.E. teacher Miss Hong, everyone is happy with that, but Danny is facing more trouble. The school board holds a special conference this morning to determine whether Danny should or should not stay in school; all Danny's subject teachers are attending the conference. Some teachers think that Danny is disturbing the normal school operations, as well as affecting other students; therefore, he must be removed from school. But Miss Ting, Danny's homeroom teacher and another subject teacher don't agree, Miss Ting says the original idea for "King of the Chess" is to encourage student to have more extracurricular activities, and not to only live with books, all students must develop different academic, physical and critical thinking skills, and there are no other meanings. After a two-hour-long discussion, the school board has decided to give Danny a verbal warning, and he is allowed to graduate from Walker Elementary School, which is two months from the time.

Danny is saved, Bobby also gets relieved. Bobby was so worry at the time the school is considering to kick Danny out of school, he felt regret that he did that to Danny. (At the time the students were signing to join the "Anti-King of the Chess group", Bobby also agreed to join) Fortunately, their friendship does not break even with this big "challenge", and they are still best friends.

The now well-known Danny's mother Gigi is coming to the school again; she walks to the sidewalk adjacent to the school building, faces the direction to Danny's classroom and yells with her loudspeaker continuously. "Danny Lui, Danny Lui, please come downstairs, your parent wants to see you. Danny Lui, Danny Lui, please come downstairs, your parent wants to see you..." That is freaking annoying, every student and teacher is sick of it. Some Danny's classmates ask Danny not to allow his mother to come to the school, Danny doesn't say anything, but only says "I have no control on that." Every time Gigi comes to school, she gets arrested, and no exception this time. Mr. Chen call a police officer again, police officer soon arrives. The name Gigi Lui is now not only known by Walker Elementary School, but also the city's police department. "Hah, it is you again, Gigi Lui, everyone knows your big name." "I want to see my son; I want to see my son... that's my right..." "Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's your right, you also have right to remain silent, all of us know you have mental problem!" "Don't hold my hands, I will go by myself!" Gigi is booked to the nearest detention center once again.

The time is going fast, and it is the graduation day for Walker Elementary School. All the 5^th graders are very excited that they have finished another stage of learning sequence. Bobby and Danny are even happier because they enrolled to the same middle school - Charles Middle School. Graduation ceremony begins; all 5^th grade students enter the auditorium, and their parents are giving big applauses. Almost every student's parent are attending the ceremony, the one exception is Danny's mother. Walker Elementary School has issued a letter that Gigi is not allow to attend the graduation ceremony, if she dares to come there, she will be immediately arrested, no exception. We should thank god, Gigi is not coming to the ceremony, and the ceremony has ended without any incident three hours after. Every 5^th grade student receives the diploma, and they officially graduate from Walker Elementary School.

As Danny and Bobby graduate, the focus is now on the middle school they are attending. Everyone may think Danny's middle school life will be better, but we can tell you, Danny will have more trouble in Charles Middle School, and it is just a beginning...
