Over the years I have done heaps and heaps of this type of work - and have been more than useful to the Police a few times. But over the last five years or so I've been sort of semi retired. This kind of weird hobby is what some psychics tend to have as a hobby and over the years such pursuits have taken up lots of my spare time and resources. I usually work as part of a team - and usually get a team together for a particular case. We were involved in a pretty big serial killer case about 12 years ago when I got hold of some books written by John Douglas, an FBI profiler from Quantico.
After I started reading John Douglas' books I decided to 'tool up' and do a full blown profiling course - which can also be studied as a Masters in Criminology; the path I took. The course units had strange and interesting titles - such as Rape 101, etc. I originally read the Douglas books to see if I might be able to marry my psychic abilities with logical deduction and criminal profiling. Happily I found a good marriage. Also - at that time I started working in prisons with violent offenders so my studies were fed and supplemented by good fodder.
I figured that by gaining these qualifications I could then charge the Police for my services. One of the Police Chiefs once advised me to get a private detective license and another of my friends offered to pay for the license. That same Chief said to me once, "I don't know how you do it - but we consistently come up with the same suspects/locations etc as we do - so please keep at it". And keep them informed of course!
So this recent murder case is the first time in years I have gotten involved again. The involvement happened primarily cos a close friend has a close friend who knew the murdered woman real well - and all of their children have been going to the same school for many years. I told my friend my two initial strong feelings.
Now - let me lay down some basic qualifying information about psychic detective work; the best way I can describe it is that it is like the task of peeling an onion - to expose layers whilst also being entrapped in a spider's web. An example of this is that on one particular case we were led to a certain location when looking for the body of a victim. We didn't find the body that day - but a couple of months later that particular murderer murdered another victim and the body was dumped right in that spot.
Another example involves a case where we were strongly drawn to a particular house. The murderer we were tracking murdered again - and that house was his next victim's home. So we located the house of his next victim before he had murdered her whist trying to track him down.
On one of our complex serial killer cases we have a huge box of files as we routinely write down and record everything. And often we can retrospectively consult our notes to see that we missed huge, vital clues that, in some cases could have solved things very early if we could have devised a system of being more astute at interpretation. So - things get entangled. And great skill and vigilance is required in interpretation of info. And - then something that seems 'fairly strong' later leads us into another avenue of enquiry - so in other words info can be veiled; needing to be peeled.
Though - perhaps yet another little sideline first. There's always a lot of gossip and mythology around cases and just about everyone you know has a theory or two. It gets into the 'air' of your location and personal space. These theories feed and are fed from this 'spider web' that becomes like a kind of crime ether.
So - now back to my 2 strong feelings in this recent case; when I have hit upon the truth I can tell. Feelings have degrees of 'strength' - and the weaker ones are pointing stones.
My 2 strong feelings were (1) she was feeling exhilarated by a feeling of escaping someone, and (2) there was an energy of 'being stalked, abused by someone she loved - or had loved. I got no fine details. And I got completely no sense of a stranger forcing himself into her car. This is not usually enough to get my interest to the extent of action.
My friend tweaked my interest by telling me that her friend had told her that the victim told him that she had to leave her dance class early cos she had an arrangement with her estranged husband who had finally agreed to sign her divorce papers. I was also interested to learn he had been emotionally abusive.
Over the days as my friend 'updated me' my profiling mind kicked in alongside my intuition. As she told me about this other man who was her close friend I got a 'kick in the guts feeling' Tomorrow I should be meeting him to help him 'contact spirit'. But - suffice to say that in this case there are 3 people I am interested in knowing more about. And that from a strictly logical and profiling point of view the husband seems to be the prime suspect. Another damming piece of evidence is that the husband rang the friend of the friend the morning after her murder asking him if he had heard from or seen his wife as the babysitter had gone home too early. As this person said that the husband never rang him or talked to him this did indeed seem odd. It seemed like he was trying desperately to build an alibi. It certainly gave me a kick in the guts type of feeling.
Using logic and criminal profiling techniques alongside my psychic and intuitive skills can work very well and I feel my studies have only enhanced my abilities as a Psychic Detective. Good psychics always have some kind of a system that they use for questioning the 'guts' and for refining and deepening knowledge. Logical deduction can be a tool - but as a psychic I have to be aware that it can also derail an investigation too.
So - with this latest case I have been attempting to 'fill in details' - fill up the landscape sketch to test and support a theory that the husband may be the killer whilst realizing he might not be too. This has involved trying to work out where, if he is the killer might he have put the weapon, what lengths he may have gone to cover up and minimize forensic evidence, the route he took on his initial visit into the park, the time, day and light circumstances under which he dug the grave, where he purchased the new spade (I have strong feelings about that - plus location it was purchased), where he walked to after he dumped the car, where he changed and left his clothes, how he got home, etc. Also I had a strong vision of a deep blue tarp.
During one conversation with my friend I got a vision of a new spade having been purchased in a hardware shop just before her murder and not far from the husband's home later being placed near a green shed with red markings on it in a particular small park location well known to me. So when I yesterday went tracking to try picking up the killer's entrance point and movements within the park I found a similar looking shed - which though not in the location I had seen in the vision, we still felt compelled to check out.
Her body had been found cos the killer, in escaping the park had badly damaged the gearbox leaving a visible oil leak from near the gravesite to the place the car 'seized and died'.
It turns out that at the location of the park in my visions there was a green shed, constructed of materials as I had described - and it had red painted doors. And it was close to where the car was found dumped. But there were no spades in sight at the time we visited. I believe it has been absorbed into the tool armory by the local park gardeners.
Also there is a city car-park location about a mile and a half away that gives me 'hot' feelings of the killer having had his car parked there. I think he was planning to leave her car in the car-park of a posh city nightclub to make it appear that she had disappeared from there until his plans were derailed by hitting the park post in the dark and consequently badly damaging the car.
Logically it fits that the husband is indeed the killer - but my intuition is still not totally sure. He may have used another person; a client who owed him 'big-time'. It is going to be very difficult to catch this man. The husband has been a prominent criminal lawyer, what you in the USA call a DA and he is currently working on a high profile case defending the Police in a miscarriage of justice type scenario.
Yesterday, whist out tracking this case I picked up what I considered to be a "pretty hot trail" which I had to abandon in failing light. I became very interested in some particular car tracks - and today I wanted to consult with an aboriginal tracker who could name the brand of tyres, name the type of car etc of these tracks before I could consider handing over my clues to the current Police investigation team.
I think this case will take a very long time to solve. And - unfortunately I don't have much time to devote to it just now. I'm planning to write articles about being a psychic detective periodically if enough interest is shown as I certainly could write reams on this subject.
