The other cats thought I was rancorous,
So rough and fierce, I played their feline games;
Until I grew into a lioness,
Much too clumsy for such kittenish things.
And so I watched their antics from afar,
Shunned by cousins who saw me differently.
I am what I am; you are what you are--
I'm a lioness, incidentally.
But truth be told, this big cat life is mine;
How could a gentle house cat understand
The primitive existence so divine,
While unable to roam the native land.
So now alone, I am how I shall be
Finding what e'er I find--my destiny.

Until I grew into a lioness,
Much too clumsy for such kittenish things.

Post a CommentHow wonderful Tonya. Had not even heard of a sonnet until now. PS, I loved your article Treating Headaches with Reflexology but since it was a Health article, no comments are allowed. That is so good as I get frequent headaches.
