The Little Scraps of Paper

Dan Reveal
Tell me where to put my nervous hands,
when the mountain blasts get way too close.
When those accusations come and there are dishes to be dried,
you'll still be the one I love the most.

And alienated though the passions be,
we'll still have the springtime of our garden lore.
If only romantic kisses ran on batteries,
I'd gladly rush out to buy them from the store.

It's okay to feel sorry for the little scraps of paper
that came last in your world ambition roller coaster tour.
Life doesn't last forever, so be quick to take your turn--
it's the hurt of love that makes your life endure.

Let those world weary foe come quick to my door,
for you stand in my place as the forgiveness light.
I'd gladly take possession of your silver strand,
the sleepy time village that prays through the night.

I'd gladly take possession of your silver strand,
the sleepy time village that prays through the night.

It's okay to feel sorry for the little scraps of paper
that came last in your world ambition roller coaster tour.
Life doesn't last forever, so be quick to take your turn--
it's the hurt of love that makes your life endure.

Thanks for explaining, Crystal...but did you like the poem?

Judy isn't the only one having trouble posting comments. I mentioned this problem in the forum today, and the thread was quickly locked. I was told to sign in up at the top and go back to the article I wanted to comment on. That no longer works - at least not for me. I would have said that if the thread hadn't been locked. My comments will be at a minimum until this problem is fixed - if it ever is.

Yes, that last line got my attention too Dan. What wonderful language that you can paint the Sistine Chapel with with words. Your giftedness is extraordinary.

Very nice, Dan - I have enjoyed you former posts, however, I am having trouble posting comments!
