Liverpool was found on the banks of the Mersey and as it grew as a city it has used the maritime industry as its main source of employment and development. But the best part of it, the city has become a vibrant metropolis with a growing economic center. Not only that, the city boasts of many tourist destinations and attractions. As evidence of this thriving city, it has more Grades I and Grade II listed edifices than any other city after London. The city also houses many art galleries, shopping centers, and a very eclectic party scene of bars and clubs. It also is steep in athletic lore as it is considered as home to Liverpool and Everton.
