The Lodge Restaurant of Kearney, Nebraska sits on the same lot and as part of the Midtown Western Inn building. The lot is not large and those who wish to dine had better come early or expect to park and walk. It is worth the minor inconvenience.
My experience with The Lodge Restaurant goes back to when my children were younger. My brother, Paul Fredrickson, a well known area contractor, regularly ate at The Lodge Restaurant of Kearney with business associates and family. He got well acquainted with the owners, and when our son was looking for that first real part-time job, Paul recommended him for The Lodge Restaurant.
Our son was treated with the respect The Lodge Restaurant owners have for both staff and customers. Before our son moved on several years later, he'd gone from bus boy to cook and could turn out food finely prepared and served with flare.
There have been times I've eaten at The Lodge Restaurant in Kearney with friends, with extended family and times my husband and I have dined alone-just the two of us. Regardless of when or how many, we were always made welcome. The staff of The Lodge Restaurant likes to get to know their guests and returning customers are made to feel like family.
The seating area is not huge, but large enough not to feel cramped. For those like me with limitations, The Lodge Restaurant does offer an obstacle in the five or six stairs from the front door to the dining floor. Dining at The Lodge Restaurant in Kearney, Nebraska is worth this inconvenience.
There is no loud music to interrupt quiet conversations and is a great place for that special date. The Lodge Restaurant, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, offers a variety from prime rib and chicken to soup and salad, along with delectable homemade pie. And much more.
The food is well prepared, the service courteous and the staff make the experience one to remember.
The Lodge Restaurant is one of Kearney, Nebraska's well-established businesses and a warm and welcome dining experience.
