The Lodge at Tiburon Fits Perfectly in This Northern California Town

Tiburon is a Great Destination to Check Out in Marin County

Marcia Frost
Tiburon is one of those California cities that you'd never think of planning your vacation in unless you had friends or family in the area, but you really should. It's just on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge, after Sausalito and before Napa. It's scenic and fun at the same time, and The Lodge at Tiburon is a great place to experience it all.

The Lodge at Tiburon is a contradiction that works quite nicely. Inside these simple and rustic buildings are first class accommodations and amenities. There are just over 100 rooms that all have patios or balconies, some with mountain views. Ever room has comfy beds, luxurious bath products, complimentary wireless internet and plush robes. Spa Rooms offer an oversized soaking tub in the room. Residential Suites are also available, with separate bedrooms and living rooms, as well as a kitchenette. Pets are allowed here, but the hotel requests that you call in advance for details.

There is an outdoor heated pool with cabanas at The Lodge at Tiburon, located next to the Jacuzzi. At night, swimmers are kept cozy with a fire pit by the pool. The SkyDeck is also heated (by a radiant fireplace) for cozy nights overlooking the mountains. Guests have use of a business center, fitness room, DVD library and beach cruisers at no extra charge. Self-parking is also complimentary at The Lodge at Tiburon.

The Tiburon Grill, which provides room service, is located on the premises. They serve contemporary California fare, from steak dinners to a delicious Grilled Veggie Flatbread Pizza, with unusual vegetables like asparagus and corn. The Tiburon Grill also has a large bar with an extensive cocktail, beer and wine selection, offering Happy Hour specials that attracts locals for the drinks as well as the food.

The location of the Lodge of Tiburon is just perfect no matter what you are looking to do. You can easily travel to any part of Marin, whether you want to explore Sausalito, go hiking through Muir Woods or take the ferry over to Angel Island, a state park filled with land and water activities. Tiburon itself is filled with marinas that house from small boats to yachts. The streets are filled with trendy stores, restaurants and art galleries, all within walking distance of the hotel.

The Lodge at Tiburon is also less than two hours from Napa Valley, making it a good Northern California stopping point between Wine Country and San Francisco.
