Because the USB receiver is so small that it almost includes itself in the Laptop, the users have no need to remove it, and plug it back in when closing the Laptop and moving it. This provides a great deal of comfort when traveling with your Laptop or Notebook, and will avoid the problems that could appear from the constant plug-ins and plug-outs in the USB ports.
"More and more Laptop users have stopped using the TouchPad, in favor of a wireless mouse", said Rory Dooley, General Manager of the tech department at Logitech. "Still, observing the majority of Laptop mouse devices, the size of the receiver obliges the user to plug it and un-plug it each time they use the Laptop".
The TouchPad was a very popular device on Notebooks and Laptops because it was included in the device, still it lacked precision. When used on a professional level, such a device must be very precise, or it will not provide the results that are needed. Also, gamers find it easier to use a wireless or normal mouse instead of a TouchPad when playing games on their Laptops and Notebooks.
Logitech claims that the VX Nano mouse is equipped with the smallest USB receiver in the world (compared to other 27 MHz receivers for laptop mouse devices, since March 2007).
In order to increase productivity, the VX Nano has a MicroGear Precision scroll wheel, that Logitech presented last fall. This type of component is present in the Logitech MX Revolution and VX Revolution devices for notebooks.
The Logitech VX Nano for Notebooks will probably be available in stores in the United States and in Europe, in late August this year, at a price of approx. $80. It is designed to serve professionals when working on projects that need such a performant device, but also gamers.
Overall, this device is complex, it has many qualities and it can offer performance in any way that it is used. With the affordable price, it is a good choice for anyone who wants a quality mouse that they can rely on, Logitech is known for their experience in the field, and for the quality products they have to offer.
