1. Stop basing your life on how other people live. You cannot be exactly like anyone else on this entire earth!! Humans are like snowflakes, we are all unique and different from the next. So, please stop judging how good or bad you are by how other people see you or by how they live compared to you.
2. Take time to enjoy every moment you can. I know it is hard to have an enlightening moment in the doctor's office or driving in bumper to bumper traffic, but trust me. Find a moment and just focus on the beauty of that given moment.
3. Celebrate any chance you get. Call some friends over or host a pot luck in your neighborhood. Anything. Life is very short and you never are guaranteed anything at all. So, every time you can, kick up your heels and embrace your life.
4. Money cannot buy happiness, but it sure makes life easier. I am not a fan of greed, so don't neglect your friends and family just so you have more. Take whatever you have been given and share it with others. But, you also need to make a living, so find that happy medium but without the baggage of greed.
5. I'm not a big fan of dogma and doing something just because, but the teachings of Christ or Buddah or Krishna, or any one of the other names we have labeled LOVE in the past, will give you a good starting point. Just don't get caught up in all the hype. Most of these prophets were just relaying what they knew about being a good person and steward of this earth.
Good luck in your ventures on this earth and remember to listen to good music that makes you feel good and dance a little, enjoy your time here, and leave this place better than when you found it. I pray you find your love and happiness in every moment of your life.
