Elected Governments, NGOs and Policy-makers should be held responsible and accountable for the abovementioned scenario, be it for better or for worse!
It has become a social-political habitat for quite a number of Malaysian politicians and NGOs to tickle on the sensitivities of various ethnic groupings within with uncalled for racial and religious word of mouth, actions, remarks that contrary to nation-building, tantamount to the eventual disintegration of this so-called role modal of the 3rd world countries.
As the favorite saying goes "Egos have no place in Marketing!" Likewise "Egos have no place in Malaysia too!" How true? Yet day in day out we could see some unscrupulous politicians, NGOs and public servants - federal ministers, parliamentarians, local council members, enforcement officers, public servant of any rank and file included blistering with ego, pride and vanity when discharging their corresponding duties. How sad indeed!
Malaysia is indeed blessed with a heaven-on-earth geographical environment; almost free from natural disasters like earthquakes, volcano eruptions, tsunami, hurricanes etc. etc. Not withstanding the amount of appropriate sunshine and rainfall throughout the year, Malaysia is further blessed with a fertile land for many agricultural endeavors. Are you aware that those Malaysian durians - king of fruits; drops automatically to the ground as compared to Thailand's durians which farmers having to climb over 20 meters to harvest?
If that's not enough, are you aware that Malaysia has amongst the highest amount of natural gas reserves in the whole wide world? Many a time one wonders what would eventually happened to our world's automotive industries when we ran out of liquid petroleum, experts said within the next 30 years? One thing for sure Malaysians would be amongst the last to suffer from this petroleum-deficiency syndrome!
Intangible sense; Malaysia have manage to demonstrate to the world how a cultural melting pot of various religious and ethnic groupings could foster togetherness ad mist diversities, with 50 years history as Malaysians and backings of 600 years from the renaissance of the Melaka Islamic Sultanate.
Although this heaven-on-earth seemed to be 'immune' to external calamities and catastrophic occurrences but it has never obtained full immunity from our very own internal and domestic wrong doings - more so pertaining to sensitive matters involving various ethnics and religions.
And the eventual price to pay would be very dear my fellow Malaysians - i.e.( I hope not ) being colonized again!
There seemed to be no easy way out towards another 50 years (mid term) and many many more 50 years ( long term ) of nationhood to be celebrated by our coming generations; and there is no guarantee that we'd have smooth sailings ahead. Henceforth, only we Malaysians, proud with the true Malaysians' Sense and Spirits can navigate safely through these weathered storms.
I am indeed perturbed by the egoistic and chauvinistic Chinese based NGOs whom have on numerous occasions tried to test our Honorable Education Minister YB Datuk Seri Hisshamuddin Hussien's patience and tolerance on various matters pertaining to Malaysian Chinese rights and privileges on Chinese educations matters. How naïve of these so-called champions of Chinese rights that they're moving in the right direction with definitely the wrong approach.
God gracious me, just imagine how could an Education Minister in Hisshamuddin, whom also heads the Malay based UMNO's youth-wing to be subdued by these day-dreamers?
How is this Prime Minister-intend ( based upon UMNO's party traditions and history, Education Ministry is the 'training ground' for future Prime Ministers ) going to be answerable to his youth-wings grassroots of his managements or rather 'mismanagements' of these sensitive issues?
Instead, these champions of Chinese studies should first ensure graduates from Chinese-based school, be it governmental or private institutions be given an equal status and opportunities in the corporate sectors. Just talk a stroll around the Melaka Kampung Hulu and Kampung Pantai regions where most supporters of Chinese education were and conduct an interview at random. Chances are that you would discover many Chinese school leavers being marginalized with low income by this same group of people who'd championed Chinese educations.
Their hidden agendas of continuous supply of cheap labours henceforth were further apparent by the facts that majority of their own siblings were sent abroad to further their tertiary and higher educations; instead of Chinese educations. How many of their employees were from the Chinese schools? How hypocrite of these chameleons!
Next, utilized your so-called Chinese education, language and knowledge alone to conquer and suceed in this globalize world if you dare? Don't try to be a big bully domestically on your fellow Chinese! Don't utilize the Chinese education agendas to complain about mistreatments and the lack of opportunity within when the internet with global business opportunities is just one click away and you're already in it!
On the other hand, I can agree to a certain extend on our Honorable Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd. Najib Abdul Razak's echo that; the Malay race in general has 'lost' substantial amount of competitiveness through years of colonization. They were indeed victim of these circumstances. However, personally I am of the opinion that nothing is lost just yet but "a bit of self-confidence", that is all. Visualize and stay focus on your dreams, actualized them; dare to fail and the Malays, just like anybody could out-performed others and succeed in life. Incidentally, the Malay race is all ready to conquer the space soon!
Last but not least, the Indian were the smartest of them all. A substantial portions of Indians in Malaysia, has unwittingly assimilated well into this plural societies with inter-cultural marriages; where after a short tenure, we have come across many ministers and influential public servants whom were the direct and or indirect results of such 'mergers'. Couple with the fact that Hinduism and Islam had "co-existed" during those glorious years of the infamous Malay Sultanate era of the 15th century Malacca (Melaka), Indians and our Malay counterparts would certainly evolved steadily towards a true Malaysian-sense society.
However, the Chinese on the other hand would continue to be at the mercy of a specific group of chameleons; searching, hoping, hoping that until the very day they die that somebody else would die first ( on their behalves )!
Conclusively, all Malaysians should instead channel our collective resources and energy outwards to conquer the global trade opportunities instead of reacting inwardly to petty petty domestic issues towards our own dooms day ahead.
When you pause for a few seconds to visualize the world-wide opportunities, within and/or without the internet; you would have no more extra time to nag on these common yet uncommonly perceived issues.
