The Longaberger Company to Sell Products to Benefit Breast Cancer Research

Horizon of Hope Products Now Available Through End of September

The Longaberger Company announced that their Horizon of Hope line, of which all the proceeds go to the American Cancer Society to promote Breast Cancer Research and Awareness, will be available until the end of September 2007.

The Horizon of Hope campaign typically runs from July through August. Each year the Horizon of Hope basket is designed for and sold exclusively during this campaign. Once the campaign is over, the basket is off the market. This year Longaberger is giving customers an extra month to purchase these baskets both on-line at http://www.longaberger.com and from the more then 45,000 Longaberger representatives.

The Horizon of Hope campaign launched in 1995. Since it began Longaberger states that, "more than 3 million Horizon of Hope baskets have been sold, and more than $12 million donated to the American Cancer Society." This partnership between has been able to an estimated 19 million women with potentially life-saving information.

According to Tami Longaberger, "We're creating more opportunities to support Horizon of Hope and, in turn, the important initiatives that the American Cancer Society is undertaking to fight this disease and its complications," Tami Longaberger is the current Chief Executive Officer of The Longaberger Company.

She goes on to state that, "We're incredibly passionate about Horizon of Hope because we've seen first-hand that we are making a difference. Our Home Consultants have embraced the campaign, and its success can be attributed to their dedication. We're proud to support the American Cancer Society and the groundbreaking work it is doing for breast cancer research and education."

To celebrate the latest Horizon of Hope Campaign a kick off was held at Tami Longaberger's home in Eshman Meadows. The luncheon brought together more then 170 women, a vast number of them currently living with breast cancer. The guest speaker for the event was Dr. Robert Smith, cancer epidemiologist and director of cancer screening at the National Office of the American Cancer Society in Atlanta, Ga.

With every purchase of a Horizon of hope basket $2 goes to the American Cancer Society for programs aimed at: Improving the quality of and access to mammography services, Improving breast imaging quality standards, Improving the quality of clinical breast examination, Improving the quality of life for young survivors and women with breast cancer recurrence, and Lymphedema research.
