The Lord's Christmas

robbwindow
Christmas serviettes and petticoat patterns
Rotate outside the plates brass ringlet
the plate disguises the lords
Gosling filled plate

The 'Doilies' of Sussex float in the collage
of winters snowflake offerings
sentiments of Christmas
Pleasing to the eye

This year Christmas fell with
holy rain drops
and new
calculations

The lords central heating bill
Rolled up out of the
miniature calculator
an early present

His wife a Nordic princess
Who worked in town
as an economist
of the local rag

She'd wear white well
But suited red better
The lord thought
as he dreamed...

Christmas.

5 minutes. I am definitely impressed! I don't think I could have written a poem with such imagery, let alone the word "serviettes" and visions of my spouse all rolled up in one poem. Nice work!
