Lord Jesus,
for each time that I have come to your table
ill prepared,
unprepared,
hard of heart,
cold,
and unconfessed
of my sins.
Stoke the Holy Fire
that you have kindled
inside me.
May it become a great flame
that illuminates my soul.
Sanctify me,
Bless my spiritual food-
the Word within me.
Bless the Bread and Wine-
the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ.
