The Loudest Noise

Thinking of Dina

Dan Reveal
When you've wandered off to feed your flower friends,
what good is the morning if I don't see that you've gone?
Please save a little time just for me,
and I will lay down my life to make it right when I was wrong.

Sit by me closer during those darkened theater times,
and I will promise to care about how you feel.
Of course we can share in the chocolate soda fountain kiss,
but it's your love that makes it all so real.

And those who make the loudest noise
are too afraid to trust a softer side.
Please forgive this mortal man that means to be good,
and my love for you is the thing I won't try to hide.

Can you mend my jeans by tomorrow,
or will they always be too far gone?
Falling in love is not something that has to be learned,
but is like a little bird that sings its song.

Falling in love is not something that has to be learned,
but is like a little bird that sings its song.

And those who make the loudest noise
are too afraid to trust a softer side.
Please forgive this mortal man that means to be good,
and my love for you is the thing I won't try to hide.
