The Guru Pitka (Mike Myers) is called to America to help a hockey player to get back with his wife. Many silly antics occur. The Love Guru.

There are many puns and quirky moments. Mike Myers is talented and if there is one awesome person in this film it is him and his creative ideas. Everyone else seem to fall short except Ben Kingsley and he plays a crossed eye Guru. Jessica Alba was more like a wall, a pretty wall but still a wall. Her character was so flat and boring. Justin Timberlake was too cliché and underused. There was no feeling of character wonder as it should have been, as Myers's other movies have been like.

The Love Guru had its moments. There were funny and there were clever and there were catchy lines. But that's about it. There wasn't a whole lot that really holds this movie up to withstand what people expect of Myers.

The best parts were where he sang with his sitar. I do love songs that characters sing within the movie itself. There were a couple that happened in this one. Then there were the couple of scenes that are in the trailers that are still funny in the film. There is an entire scene with cameos that I really liked. DunDun.

Over all it was an ok movie that could have been far better, that could have had much more staying power. But it lacked in so many areas and without the help of the entire cast to make it more Myers eventually failed.

I could see myself seeing this movie again in parts, but I wouldn't own it. The Love Guru fails to be intimacy as it describes: into-me-I-See. For if it was as clever as that line it would have trampled, smothered and devoured Get Smart.
