The Lowdown on the Movie Ghost Rider

Having boys (my husband included), I am always being dragged to the theaters to watch the hot new release action movies and Ghost Rider was no exception. Marvel comics is at again, based on the legend of the Ghost Rider comic book these characters are brought to life before your eyes.Starring Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider/Johnny Blaze and Eva Mendes as reporter/girlfriend Roxanne Simpson.I do like both of these actors so I was already intrigued,to say the least.

The plot was based on the Ghost Rider who basically is a bounty hunter for the devil but in order to become this you have to sell your soul to the devil. Johnny Blaze does this in order to save his dad who is dying of cancer.Instead of using his new powers for total evil he becomes a supernatural being that not only avenges but serves justice to those that are doing wrong. He has to face and defeat several obstacles of deadly forces in order to get his life back. After accpeting and be able to control his new found powers he has to make a decision.

I thought the visual effects were right on,you saw how the Ghost Rider was transformed from a normal everyday person to a skull blazing Ghost as well as he changed so did his beloved motorcycle blazing a trail behind them, a path of fire.

The love story was bittersweet,a young love lost and then found again only to be set free in the end.I was not let down by this movie and I don't want to give much of it away but I did like when Ghost Rider (aka Cage) was thrown into to jail and he was trying not to turn but all of the jail mates kept bothering him and he changed into Ghost Rider knocking them all out then he pointed at a young kid trying to hide in the corner and said " Innocent" and he melted the jail bars and walked out.

I guarantee if you have boys they will love this movie if they like Spiderman,Batman and X-men.Which I have seen all of those as well as their sequels and I believe that I liked this one better.Happy movie going.
