Families in Kingman, Arizona Can Now Find Local Activities with Ease!
Kingman, AZ 86409
United States of America
However, there's great news for Kingman families. There are actually ample opportunities for local family entertainment and numerous ways to get involved in the community; though finding these events often requires doing some research. Luckily, this process recently became much easier because the Macaroni Kid came to town!
A little over two weeks ago a branch of the Macaroni Kid was launched in Kingman by Billie Wirthlin. Founded in May of 2008, local "Publisher Moms" work with the Macaroni Kid program to provide communities with comprehensive weekly newsletters.
Wirthlin is Kingman's Publisher Mom; responsible for distributing a weekly newsletter to subscribers that's jam packed with local activities for families and children in the area. This newsletter is a great way for families to become involved in the community and enjoy many fun events in the process.
Wirthlin scours the community and works with local businesses and organizations to provide comprehensive information about all the local events available to families and children. Many families in Kingman are unaware of just how much there is to do because resources like the Kingman Macaroni Kid were not available before.
"There are quite a few great things to do in our community; it's just a matter of finding them," says Wirthlin. "Hopefully, with Macaroni Kid, I'm able to make that process a little easier!"
It is very simple to receive these comprehensive newsletters. Simply go onto the Kingman Macaroni Kid website and fill out the short information form. Afterwards, you and your family will be well on your way to participating in many great local events.
Another great aspect of the Kingman Macaroni Kid is it offers ad space available for purchase to local businesses and organizations to gain exposure. In other towns that have the same Macaroni Kid program, businesses and activities that were once struggling to remain a part of the community were able to fill enrollment sheets and even expand program opportunities with the assistance of the ad space available on the Macaroni Kid websites.
You can even come and see the work of the Macaroni Kid first hand at the 'Kingman Area Books Are Magic Festival' (KABAM). On Saturday, May 15th you can find the Macaroni Kid vendor booth, where kids in the community will be welcome to participate in craft activities while parents learn more about the Macaroni Kid.
Although the Macaroni Kid is new in town, it can continue to grow within the community with a little support. The more community support the Macaroni Kid establishes, the greater the success of the program will be.
"I would love for Macaroni Kid to be a community-wide project, so don't hesitate to contact me with any event or article ideas you have," Wirthlin says. "If we can help to promote your family-friendly event - let us know!"
