The Magic Bullet - Kitchen Gadget for Everyone

Chloe Thorn
Infomercials are always raving about this little miracle blender, how it chops and blends so much easier than your normal large blenders. I was given a Magic Bullet recently and thought I would give a true consumers perspective.

All in all I really like the Magic Bullet. It allows me to blend salsas, gravies, and even puddings in the little cup size blender in almost no time. It also does very well with blending or mixing very hot sauces or broths without hurting the containers. One of the greatest things about the bullet is that you can make smoothies in the cups they provide within seconds. This allows me personally to make a breakfast smoothie early in the morning without much thought or hassle. I also make my own frappuccinos at home now with the bullet and it works out great. I also use it to make my homemade cocoa so that it is smooth and frothy.

Another great thing about the Magic Bullet is that the clean up is exceptionally simple. All you have is the blade and the cup which are both dishwasher safe and small enough to plop into the upper rack. The little machine usually never needs anything but a wipe down for dust because of the lid there is no spillage.

The only negative I have found while using the Magic Bullet is that although it will chop onions or tomatoes, obviously there is no uniformity and it can turn into mush if you aren't careful. Otherwise I have tried many of the recipes shown on TV and many of my own and this little machine works great.

When my Magic Bullet was purchased I also received a juicer. You can put vegetables or fruit into it and get fresh juice which is great and so much easier than my old juicer that I own. The one warning here is that do not put citrus rinds inside because it will juice those too and it will be extremely bitter.

Ultimately this is a great buy and now that you get 21 pieces to go with the Magic Bullet when you purchase it than it is even better. You receive two blades one for chopping and one for whipping or mixing. Meaning you can even make whip cream in about 30 seconds with the Magic Bullet. The other great piece you receive with this is lids to go on the containers with holes so you can freshly grind parmesan cheese or peppercorns and shake them onto your dinner for the evening. This is a wonderful little gadget for people who have no time or have lots of time to experiment in the kitchen.
