The Magic of Halloween: A Halloween Poem

Tyler S.
Fantasizing with delight
Of the tricks and treats of Halloween night,
Children dress in costumes sure to dazzle or scare
Empty wallets filling their parents with despair
"Is it time yet?" over and over again
"Put the candy down Ben!"
Candy wrappers on the floor
A constant knocking at the door
Parents crying, pulling out their hair
Little children running around EVERYWHERE!
Then with a devilish, evil smirk
The parents concoct a plan, sure to work
Sneaking up behind their backs
The parents give their kids slight heart attacks!
Laughter is shared all around,
The magic of Halloween, finally found.
