The Magic of Spanish Black Radish

What it is and What it Does

When I first heard about Spanish Black Radish, I had no idea what it was, where to find it or how it was grown. I was given Spanish Black Radish to take as a supplement for my thyroid, to help combat the hair loss I was having when my thyroid was low. However, I did find out that this supplement was good for other things, and once I did some research I was thrilled to be taking it.

What is Spanish Black Radish?

Spanish Black Radish, is in the same family as broccoli and kale, known as the Brassica family. This radish like any other, has made its place in the kitchen and really doesn't taste all that different from other radishes. However, you will find upon more reading that this radish is known for its use in well being and holistic medicine. In India, this supplement is called "Mooli", and it is used to encourage a healthy liver. The reason my healthcare provider had given it to me, was because I was having not only low thyroid, but with that I was also having liver pain and swelling. It was attributed to problems processing food without having my gallbladder, and without your gallbladder it's hard to process fats. With that in mind, my liver had swollen and it was very painful. Within a day of taking the Spanish Black Radish with each meal, the liver swelling went down and in two days, it was completely gone. I also noticed that my hair had grown and regained its consistency, and my nails had grown. I had trouble with my nails breaking off when my thyroid was low, along with losing my hair.

According to Dr. Fallat of Partners in Wellness, Spanish Black Radish will also encourage a healthy menstrual cycle. This means that over time it will aid in getting cycles regular and make them less painful and irritating for women. It may not work the same for everyone, but it is certainly worth a try. If you see a holistic healthcare provider than it will be easy to get a hold of, but if you don't see a holistic doctor you can check at any of your local health food stores to see if it something that they normally stock.

How Does Spanish Black Radish Work?

Spanish Black Radish is effective because it is rich in vitamin C. Vitamin C is abundant in cruciferous vegetables like Spanish Black Radish, and Broccoli. The substances like this found in these foods, will protect against free radicals and strengthen immunity and digestion. In addition, the body will neutralize this while in the liver, making anything toxic that passes through the liver, less harmful to the body.

If there is any doubt on what this nifty vegetable can do, just read on it and Google it and you will find a wealth of information about it. It is not popular in the United States because our country doesn't focus on natural supplements but medications.
