Upon entering the indoor carousel park, you will enjoy hearing the delightful music and the stunning hand crafted carousel animals will leave you amazed that this art from long ago is still practiced in Mansfield, Ohio. The initial experience will bring a smile to your face, regardless of your age.
Comfy wooden chairs are set up around the carousel for those who chose to observe the fun instead of joining in themselves. It is fun to just sit back and watch the happy faces of the passengers as they enjoy their ride on the carousel, as they go around and around.
Rides cost seventy five cents each, or you can get three rides for two dollars, and they have larger packages also, making this an ideal place for a birthday party for small children. Each ride lasts for about five minutes. It is well worth the cost to take a ride on any of the hand crafted carousel animals.
The Mansfield Carousel Park offers snacks such as freshly popped popcorn, cotton candy, ice cream treats, and soda pop. On the premises you can find a gift shop filled with terrific gift and souvenir ideas from carousel blankets, stuffed animals, t shirts, pens and pencils, post cards and exquisite miniature carousels to take home with you. Inside the gift shop small candies and locally produced Jones Potato Chips. You purchase your tokens inside the gift shop for your carousel rides. Currently the gift shop at the Mansfield Carousel Park is holding a raffle, where you could win your very own hand crafted carousel horse. Tickets are two dollars each.
The Mansfield Carousel Park is a great place ti bring the kids, or maybe even a date. The fun atmosphere and affordable prices make the Mansfield Ohio carousel park a fantastic option for local entertainment.
The Carousel District is in the heart of downtown Mansfield. Each Friday the local farmers and artisans set up for the Farmers Market where locally grown fruits and vegetables are offered for sale at bargain prices. The produce is literally so fresh that it was picked that morning!
The Carousel District also hosts after work parties on Fridays, and Shop Hops in the evenings.
Just a few yards down the street from the Carousel Park you will find the Carousel museum where craftsmen produce the hand carved carousel animals and you can take a tour of the factory as well as enjoy the memorabilia for a low price.
Mansfield has a lot to offer, one of the gems of Mansfield is the carousel park district. Mansfield Ohio is located sixty miles north of Columbus, and sixty miles south of Cleveland, Ohio.
